The Fincas Collection has received a new international accolade. Three of our most distinctive wines, born from our commitment to showcasing the full potential of the Verdejo grape, have been highly rated by American wine critic Jeb Dunnuck, receiving outstanding scores: 95 points for Finca La Medina, 94 points for Finca Las Comas and 94 points for Las Fincas de José Pariente.
The reviews, written by critic Virginie Boone, highlight the personality, complexity and ageing potential of these three wines. Each one is a true expression of a specific vineyard, soil type and a different interpretation of Verdejo.
Finca La Medina 2024: 95 puntos
The highest-rated wine in the collection is Finca La Medina 2024, produced from an old vineyard planted on sandy loam soils. The review highlights its refined and energetic profile, combining balanced acidity and texture with notes of apple, anise, fennel, stone fruit and delicate floral nuances. Its citrusy, saline finish and, above all, its ageing potential — with a structure that could allow the wine to develop further over the next 10–12 years — demonstrate the potential of Verdejo when it comes from vineyards with a long history.

Finca Las Comas 2022: 94 puntos
Scoring 94 points, Finca Las Comas 2022 also comes from a single vineyard, in this case planted in 1910 on stony soils. One year of ageing in large oak barrels contributes to its complex and persistent character.
Virginie Boone highlights its smooth, saline character, freshness and nutty notes, revealing another of the many facets that Verdejo can express.
Las Fincas de José Pariente 2024: 94 puntos
Also awarded 94 points, Las Fincas de José Pariente 2024 is made from old bush vines more than 60 years old. The wine undergoes fermentation and one year of ageing in 500- and 228-litre oak barrels.
The review highlights its saline, savoury, earthy and complex character, with notes of green olive, anise, forest floor and balsamic nuances. A profile that reflects the personality of vineyards planted on sandy soils and surrounded by pine trees, confirming the potential of Verdejo to go far beyond a single style.

These scores are a recognition of an approach to winemaking that we have been developing for years at Bodegas José Pariente. Our aim is to understand each vineyard, respect its identity and allow Verdejo to express its full diversity.
The Fincas Collection was created precisely with this purpose in mind. Finca La Medina, Finca Las Comas and Las Fincas de José Pariente share the same grape variety, yet each expresses its own soils, vineyard age and distinctive personality.
